MEMBERSHIP
Members have formed regional Member Groups which share information and hold events on a local scale; others remain as individual members. All members receive our twice-yearly magazine, Iyengar Yoga News, which is available in print and online.

NATIONAL IYENGAR YOGA DAY
Each year in mid-January, IY(UK) teachers organise free taster classes, demonstrations and other events, listed here.
CONVENTIONS
IY(UK) organises an Iyengar yoga convention each year in a different UK location, where one or more senior guest teachers from the UK or abroad lead classes over a weekend.

TEACHING AND TRAINING
IY(UK) is responsible for maintaining standards of teaching of Iyengar yoga, and undertakes regular assessments and certification of those wishing to teach from Level 1 to Level 3. It also co-ordinates Professional Development days throughout the United Kingdom, to enable teachers to remain up to date and to help maintain the validity of their teaching certificates.
