This Mini-Convention is suitable for beginners with one year’s regular attendance in Iyengar yoga classes, as well as experienced students and teachers.

Recordings of all classes will be available to all attendees for seven days after the event, so you can go back anytime to continue or go over your practice.

This is an online event, participants will be able to enjoy Jawahar’s teaching from home! All you will need is your phone, tablet or computer to join the classes. Once registered we’ll send you full details.

Total cost for this event, to include 4hrs of classes, Q&A with Jawahar and recordings is £55. All IY(UK) members and non-members welcome.

Programme & Timings
The Mini-Convention will take place on Saturday 16th January, starting promptly at 9am with a 2.5 hour session, then a break, followed by a further 1.5 hour session, then Q&A, finishing at approximately 2.30pm. Timings may change slightly.

How to access the Convention
The programme will take place over Zoom webinar. You will be emailed a link approximately a week before the date, it is essential that you have a device, such as a phone, tablet or computer to use. This must have good internet access with sound and camera to allow you to fully participate. We will be using Zoom webinar so you will not be expected to join with your microphone and camera on, but we may invite you to switch on to demonstrate should you be willing to do so!

For the best experience, please download Zoom for your desktop/laptop or the App for your device (phone/tablet.) It is important that you have the latest update of Zoom to avoid delays when logging in, we therefore advise doing a test launch in advance to prompt updates.

As well as a device, as mentioned above, you will need a space at home to lay down a yoga mat without obstructions, in addition you’ll need 4 foam pads, 1 or 2 bricks, 1 or 2 blankets (or neatly folded large towels if blankets unavailable), 1 or 2 belts, and a bolster if you have one (or pillows can be used.) Plus of course any other equipment you might need at home. If you need to purchase equipment please see our Merchandise page.
