In-Person Convention 2022: 28-30 May

At the end of May we enjoyed three days of yoga led by Margaret Austin, in our favourite convention location of Harrogate.

In 2009, in recognition of the significant contribution UK teachers have made in promoting and encouraging Iyengar yoga both in the UK and Ireland and throughout the world, Margaret was one of only seven UK teachers then-teaching honoured with the designation “Most Senior Teacher” by Guruji himself.

As an early pioneer studying directly under Guruji, Margaret has dedicated her life to the practice and teaching of Iyengar yoga. Margaret guided us back into the beautiful art of teaching face-to-face Iyengar yoga, with her incisive observation, instruction, adjustment, and inspirational demonstration, to take us into that state of total absorption that we know is only really experienced in a live class situation.

This convention reached and challenged everyone in the room, from relative beginners to advanced teachers, as Margaret’s nurturing practice and teaching brought us renewal of energy, strength, mobility, and community, as well as emotional and physical wellbeing.
