We are very sorry to announce the death of Jeanne Maslen on 2nd March 2019.
Jeanne was one of BKS Iyengar’s first students in the UK and was instrumental in setting up the Manchester and District Institute of Iyengar Yoga, as well as our national teacher training and assessment system. Jeanne was a leading figure in the BKS Iyengar Yoga Teachers’ Association for many years, and was very close to Guruji. She did so much to promote Iyengar Yoga in the UK and around the world, and will be remembered and missed by thousands of Iyengar yoga students.
