Event Description:

We are delighted that Christian Pisano has agreed to return to London this year to teach a weekend intensive on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September. Christian’s expansive, beautiful, soulful teaching is always a treat and inspiration to experience.

FRIDAY

‘Rituals of quietness’

SATURDAY

‘Rituals of ease’ including Preliminaries (upasanas) of reading the body

9am – 12pm &

2.30pm – 5pm

Although Christian Pisano has been practicing Iyengar Yoga for over thirty-five years, his journey has involved unlearning and deconstructing everything he has learned, to digest what truly resonated with him – that which belongs to no system. He sees himself more as a wanderer of yoga and embraces this joyful wandering, which lies at the very heart of his exploration.

His approach points toward the self-evident nature of Consciousness. We are already what we seek, even if we have not yet recognised it. He favours spontaneous instruction at the heart of each asana, as well as the recognition of a living pedagogy that is innate to us but has often been forgotten.

He is the author of the book: The hero’s contemplation.

The Field of Consciousness: “I always practice the three reminders. They are like three lakes that cleanse the heart. First I always remember that I am a form of infinite Consciousness. Then I always observe the glorious phenomenon of this universe as the expression of my own Consciousness. The event will take place in the large hall in Malorees School. There is plenty of free parking, and the location is easily accessed by tube, train and bus. There is also plenty of green space within the school for us to enjoy between sessions.

You will need to bring equipment with you.

All students with 2 years + practice are welcome. However, if you have specific injuries, medical conditions or are pregnant please get in touch beforehand, to discuss if the weekend will be suitable for you.
