NELIY Workshop Lorraine McConnon

Event Description:

Lorraine McConnon qualified as an Iyengar yoga teacher in 1986. She is a level 3 teacher and a former member of the IY(UK) Therapy Committee. She teaches in Hackney and Sevenoaks, and online. This is what Lorraine says about her workshop:  Hands and feet – The conscious working of the hands and feet fundamentally determines the nature of how we work our limbs.  This in turn activates the horizontal and vertical extensions of the asana.  This workshop will explore how focusing on these actions enlivens and integrates the benefits of the asanas structurally, energetically, and in terms of their impact on the organic body. This ultimately leads to a more economical use of energy; becoming more grounded, offers the opportunity to discover lightness and a sense of spaciousness within the asana.  This workshop is open to all practitioners of Iyengar yoga, except complete beginners.
