Yoga – Long weekend with John Aplin

Event Description:

I am organising a yoga long weekend in Brecon Friday 20th to Monday 23rd June.  I have reserved a nice venue – the village hall in the small village of Llanfrynach 3.5 miles from Brecon in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

I am a level 3 teacher active in remedial work as well as general teaching online and face to face.  I have a strong background in anatomy and physiology and a long-standing interest in women’s health, fertility and pregnancy.

We will start with a class on the Friday late afternoon and then — for those who want to join in – I will book tables at a local restaurant so we can discuss and advise about options for the weekend.  We’ll have classes Saturday morning and late afternoon (quieter practice) with free time in between.  Sunday we’ll have a morning class and then free time until the late afternoon/evening when we’ll have a party at our house or in the garden if the weather is kind.  We might even get a spectacular mountain sunset!  Monday morning we’ll have a final class and then there will be time for those not staying longer in the area to get home.

The cost will be £100 for the yoga plus the Sunday night event.  You would bring equipment and organise your own accommodation.  Brecon has lots both in the town and in the rural surrounds.  There are campsites in spectacular settings close by – I can advise.

I can also offer help and advice about the area, which is fabulous for walking, cycling, sketching, the canal, historical sites, gardens, cathedral, museums and the mediaeval Tree of Jesse carving in Abergavenny, a notable market and food town.  Crickhowell is good for its shops, pubs and cafes. The area is great for bird spotting too.  We will see if the ospreys that nested here last year for the first time will return.  Pen y Fan, at 886m the highest point in the UK south of Snowdonia, overlooks the village.
