Mark Castle, From January 2026 I will be teaching at the Chappell Centre in Congleton as part of Congleton Iyengar Yoga (a group of teachers formerly the Congleton Iyengar Yoga Centre) https://Bookwhen.com/congletoniyengaryoga fb: Congleton Iyengar Yoga Centre Up to January 2026 I ran the Congleton Iyengar Yoga Centre with my partner Louise Wallace where we have a variety of classes for all abilities. We also put on regular workshops and events throughout the year with visiting teachers. I First Started Iyengar Yoga as a student of Christina Niewola at the Congleton Iyengar Yoga Centre in 2012. I was brought to class by fellow Teacher Louise Wallace as my first ever experience of any type of yoga and I was instantly hooked and totally engaged, Iyengar Yoga suits my logical brain and also brings immense benefit to my body which has suffered as a result of a careless owner! I was very fortunate to be endorsed onto the Teacher Training Course in 2015 by Christina and embarked on the two year program culminating in achieving my Introductory (Level 1) certificate in 2017, just before my 40th Birthday. I love attending workshops and have been a regular attendee of the IYA Convention since starting my Yoga journey. Louise and I organise Iyengar Yoga Holidays to Dalyan in Turkey and weekends at YHA's in the Peak district. Away from Yoga I Volunteer for the Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire Blood Bikes as a rider and fundraiser. I am Group Scout Leader at Sandbach in Cheshire where I head up the leadership team and look after the running of the group; I am also a Climbing & Abseiling Supervisor within Scouting and I am a regular climber. I absolutely Love motorcycles including touring and competition including road racing and off road trials. As well as a long career in engineering, now in project management I have a 200 year old house which needs constant TLC to keep me busy.
