Menopause support; Elmslie House, 11am-12.30pm

Class Description:

There can be many physiological imbalances that a women may experience as the body shifts from a monthly menstrual cycle towards a new era.  The journey is differing for each individual, but it also has many common aspects which can become overwhelming at times, and at other times, a mild inconvenience.

The practice of Yoga can be of great benefit at every stage of life, but its balancing effects are particularly valuable during this period of life.  Geeta Iyengar gave us some clear insights and practical help to rebalance our systems during menopause.  Additionally, we are very fortunate to have been given other guidance on this subject from our senior Iyengar Yoga teachers.
I have attended several workshops looking at ways in which Iyengar Yoga can support menopausal symptoms.  Most recently Bobby Clennell who published a yoga book for women.  I would like to offer a regular class to support women at this time.
