Christian Pisano at Manchester and District Iyengar Yoga

Although Christian Pisano has practiced Iyengar Yoga for more than 40 years, his journey has gradually become one of unlearning and deconstructing everything he had acquired in order to uncover what truly matters to him something that belongs to no system.

He feels much more like a wanderer of yoga and embraces this joyful wandering as the very heart of his exploration. His approach points directly to the self-evident nature of Consciousness. We are already what we are seeking, even if we have not yet recognised it. His teaching gives priority to the spontaneous instruction that can arise at the heart of each āsana and to the recognition of an innate, living pedagogy that belongs to all of us, but which we have so often forgotten.
