Event Description:

A fully supported tea-house trek through the heart of the Khumbu region, showcasing spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We convene in Kathmandu, then drive out of the valley, through the beautiful middle hills to take a breathtaking flight from Mantthali to Lukla. We stretch our legs with a first hike to the hamlet of Phakding. Our seven days of trekking lead us into charming Sherpa villages, past ancient monasteries and through lush rhododendron and pine forests. The stunning scenery combines with the warmth of local hospitality in the family-run lodges and the challenging but manageable trekking days. Once en route, daily yoga sessions align perfectly with trekking. We practise where possible outdoors in the villages where we are staying or on the trail. Our early-morning sessions help us start the day’s trek fully energized. We might pause before lunch for a half-hour of asana (posture) work and finish with a recuperative end-of-trek relaxation session. Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal, home to Mount Everest (Sagarmatha), is a UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 1979 for its “exceptional natural beauty,” dramatic Himalayan peaks, glaciers, deep valleys, rare wildlife (snow leopard, red panda), and the unique culture of its Sherpa inhabitants. Established in 1976, the park protects pristine high-altitude ecosystems, blending breathtaking landscapes with Sherpa Buddhist traditions and sustainable resource management, making it a globally significant natural and cultural treasure.
