Event Description:

Visiting Bab Zouina— as soon as you arrive the beautiful gardens and warm welcome take the mind and body to a point of rest and reassurance.
Bab Zouina is a 45-minute drive from Marrakech, but a world away in a small village at the foot of the Atlas Mountains.

Built in traditional Moroccan earth architecture, Bab Zoina has since evolved into a yoga retreat dedicated to human equilibrium, community impact, and sustainability. Surrounded by green olive trees, flowers, and birds, Bab Zouina offers an oasis of peace and tranquility. The retreat runs from February 15–21, 2026.

Included in your retreat:
* Two daily Iyengar yoga classes (morning and evening) in a fully equipped yoga studio including ropes.
* All meals, using the vegetable garden and local produce. Moroccan, Berber and Middle Eastern cuisine are prepared to support a balanced and healthy diet. Fresh and dried fruit, nuts, tea and coffee are available throughout the day
* Comfortable accommodation in single, double or triple rooms. Your room can include a terrace and ensuite or adjacent bathroom. Bab Zouina has several ecological buildings inspired by beautiful traditional earth architecture.
* Airport transfer

Your days are yours to spend as you wish—enjoy the beautiful gardens, swim in the pool or play tennis or petanque, book yourself a session in the on-site hammam or massage. Local or mountain hikes can be organised, or day trips to Marrakesh, plus a long list of optional additional cultural activities or adventures.

About Georgia
Georgia is a Level 3 certified Iyengar yoga teacher with over 25 years of international teaching experience. She began practicing Iyengar Yoga in 1990 in Sydney and, after relocating to London in 2001, began her teacher training. Now based in Portugal, Georgia has taught students across several countries and continues to share her knowledge with insight and dedication.
She has studied at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, India, on more than five occasions—learning directly from B.K.S. Iyengar, his daughter Geeta, and his son Prashant.
Georgia’s teaching is clear, calm, and attentive, with a strong focus on adapting postures to meet each student’s specific needs. She has a deep understanding of yoga as a tool for rehabilitation, personal growth, and enhancing overall quality of life.
