Surrounded by peaceful woodland and grassy glades, it is the ideal setting for a retreat in nature, where you can regain your energy in unspoilt countryside.There’s a spring water pool with a large whirlpool bath, a fully equipped yoga room, an outdoor yoga deck overlooking the land and a holistic spa.

Two coffee-tea-herbal teas, fruit etc. breaks each day. use of one of the large yoga studios free use of the large complex of two swimming pools (300 m2) and one large spa in the park (during the summer). Salt filtering systems without chlorine. excellent and fresh food, mostly organic, very well cooked. Vegetarian or vegan food. All the rooms are perfectly heated in winter and cooled during the summer. one room cleaning with sheet and towel change during the week.

Brenda offers classes each morning and evening  The classes will be suitable for all levels and yoga experience.

Days can be spent relaxing by the pool in the peaceful grounds of Quercia Calante or taking a massage in the holistic spa. Or you can adventure out to explore the majestic cities of Orvieto or Siena, the crystal clear waters of Lake Bolsena or the many surrounding ancient Medieval villages. Medici’s San Casciano Bagni, or the romantic Bagno Vignoni are also nearby.

The unique position of the Locanda also allows you to discover the traditional flavours of Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany, with their genuine local products such as wine, mushrooms, truffles, cheese and extra virgin olive oil.

Accommodation & food

Rooms are decorated in the typical Umbrian style with terracotta floors, wooden ceiling beams and stone walls. All have en-suite bathrooms. The furnishings are a combination of classic and ethnic influences to grace every room with charm and elegance. Ground floor rooms have a small veranda and first floor rooms share a veranda overlooking the grounds.

Vegan and vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily. Local cuisine typical of Umbria and Tuscany using fresh, seasonal produce naturally grown on the Locanda della Quercia Calante farm. The indoor restaurant offers dining in front of a beautiful hearth, while the enchanting outdoor terrace is perfect for warmer evenings watching the sun go down.
