Bio:

I have been practising for over 45 years and qualified at senior 3 in November 2004. I have been to Pune many times and studied with the Iyengar family over many years, including following their classes on zoom, in addition to working with many other well known teachers, from this country and abroad. My student base is varied in terms of age and ability and it is valuable to learn from them – what works for one student may not work for another – being flexible in approach is therefore important, whilst honouring the lineage of Iyengar yoga. I like to make the classes enjoyable and welcoming but we still work accurately on the asanas, pranayama and philosophy, albeit the programmes are adjusted to suit individuals as not all instructions suit everybody. The classes are deliberately kept quite small, usually around 12 maximum and periodically I teach workshops, open to all the class students and any other students wishing to come for the day. I also teach workshops for some of the local institutes. Classes are held in Portsmouth, Chichester and Hayling Island.
