Sarah Toward

Hi, my name is Sarah Toward and I am an Intermediate Level 3 Iyengar yoga instructor. I have been practising yoga for 30+ years and teaching it for 20+.

I think it’s safe to say I’m passionate about it and have devoted my time and energy to learning all I can about yoga and how it can have such a profound effect on our mind and body. As well as feeling strong and well physically, I’ve also found that yoga gives me what I need to cope with the stresses and strains of life in a calmer and more reflective manner. The learning never ends – I love that I am still learning! Sharing some of what I have learned is a pleasure.

I teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced. My classes are friendly and welcoming, with no judgement and no expectations. With 30 years of experience to draw on, I can modify poses if someone has a limitation and I skilfully sequence classes to help you get the most out of every single class.

I strongly believe yoga can benefit everyone – it just needs to be taught with a deep knowledge, understanding and empathy. I teach people who have various injuries and illnesses including Parkinson’s, cancer, slipped discs, scoliosis, torn ligaments, hip/knee replacements, etc as well as pre and post pregnancy, athletes, children, elderly and people just like you x
